Scandavian Blog Hop...

Welcome to another month of SOTM Goodness!!!

I...CANNOT...BELIEVE...it's October already!!!!  Is it just me or does time fly faster the older you get...lol

If you've come from Teresa's Blog, you're on the right track...and you've probably already seen how CUTE and "Christmasy" this stamp set is BUUUUUUTT I'm gonna show you AGAIN...lol!

Here's what I did with it...a standard-sized card using a couple of paper packets and the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge!

--------------------------------------------
I'm hoping from this picture you can see that the Colonial White Cardstock piece that has the ornament cut out from it is pop-dotted for dimension.  The ornament that is stamped is adhered directly to the card base.

---------------------------------
And...once I get my NEW Sparkle & Shine Paper Packet from the CTMH Holiday Guide, these little beauties will be used to make something I'm extra excited about!  You'll have to check back in a few days to see what it is!

You can access the CCR file here...I created the file after I cut the card so it might not be exactly like this card but it's close enough.  Cut your Colonial White Cardstock piece at 5-1/2" x 2-5/8" and line it up at the very edge and top of your mat.

Thanks for stopping by!

Here's a look at the key...

Now hop on over to Haley's Blog and check out what she's done with this stamp set...I know you're gonna love it!

Au Naturale with H2H....

Welcome to the 1st challenge of October at Heart 2 Heart Challenges...
This week, we are challenging you to go "Au Natural" and leaving it up to you to interpret that however you'd like!  I wanted to do something with a very basic color and what's my favorite "basic" color...KRAFT!!!!

This is a standard-sized card using Kraft Cardstock and a little bit of Huntington B&T...Keyboard Kraft Alphabet & the Cricut Artiste Collection!  I stitched the edges of the B&T and then added a button from the Surf's Up Assortment and some unraveled Burlap Ribbon (GREAT tip from fellow CTMH Consultant).  I also inked up everything with White Daisy

-----------------------------
These feathers are cut using the Artiste Cartridge...after cutting them, I scored a line down the center, folded them a bit and inked with White Daisy Ink.

--------------------------------------
Here's a look at the key I used...Cut at 1" and another at .75"

I had so much fun making this card!!! I hope you find time to play along with us this week...you have 'till the end of the month to link your project up.  And remember...show off your CTMH products!

10 Things I have a CRUSH on...

This week's Monday Listicle is "10 Things I have a Crush On"...

PERFECT prompt since one my things is all about CRUSHES!!!
  • My # 1...Numero Uno...Top of the List...CRUSH is on this man right here...

  • My #2 crush is on these little angels (and I use that term with only a hint of sarcasm) that call me "mamma"

Below are my numbers 3 - 10 in no particular order:

  • Modville Crush Book by CTMH...talk about a CRUSH...the name itself is CRUSH BOOK and you will fall in LOVE with all the things you can do with this book (there's another book and TONS of accessories too...check it out HERE)
  • This MK bag...I want it BAD and that's saying a LOT since I don't believe in spending a whole lot of money on purses, clothes, shoes, etc.  Here's the deal though...I saw it on Pinterest, pinned it but the picture goes NOWHERE!!!  I've searched online and can't find it (insert SAD FACE here)...I guess that's God's way of telling me I don't NEED it!

  • WBU Soccer...I've been watching my baby play soccer since he was 5!!! When he picked Wayland Baptist University to go play soccer for, I was heartbroken because it's 4 hours away...not like I can just drive up on a Tuesday and watch a 2-1/2 hour game then drive back home.  Good thing WBU tries their best to have a LIVE FEED for every home game...it at least gives me my fix!

  •  Messy hair buns...with 3 kids to get ready in the morning, sometimes that's the only thing that gets us there on time...good thing it's in style!
  • I...have...a...CRUSH...on...Fall!!!!  In West Texas, we don't really have seasons...it's more like HOT and less HOT...lol.  But I do love the smell of the air, the warm colors and the idea that my favorite holidays are approaching...Halloween, Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS!!!  Check out my FALL Pinterest Board...it's sure to get you in the mood!
  • Smiling Moose Deli!!!  I always get a "create your own salad" and I pile it on!!! My favorite is:
    • Grilled Chicken
    • Mixed Greens
    • Cucumber
    • Avacado
    • Peas
    • Brocolli
    • Pickle
    • LOTS of Artichoke
    • a little bit of Sun Dried Tomato
    • Parmesan & Feta cheese
    • Ranch on the side
    • For here (vs. to go...lol)
  • Pandora radio...especially now that there's not a monthly limit for the FREE subscription.  I can live with the occasional commercial to save a buck or two a month!
  • Smelly socks, Legos spread out everywhere, Football practices and games, Soccer games via spotty live feed on the iPad, little ribbons and bows...all of this means that my house is full of the children I've always wanted and so many people long for.
Don't forget to come up with your own 10 things and link back to Monday Listicles!!!

Frosted Baby Girl...

My computer is "sick" so I have a bunch of posts that have been in 'draft mode' for quite a while so I thought I'd share them with you while I wait for my computer.

This card SCREAMS all the things I love which is the theme for this week's H2H Challenge, A Few of my Favorite Things!

Here are my FAVORITE things about this card:
  • This card is made using two paper packets, Frosted and Chantilly...if you've been a reader for a while, you know how I {{{heart}}} using multiple paper packets!  I threw in some Baby Pink cardstock (retired) as well.
  • It also has TWINE which is one of my all-time favorite things...it's so delicate and manipulative.
  • This card has some STAMPING on it...you'd be surprised how little stamping I do these days!!!
  • This card uses my new ALL-TIME favorite thing...CTMH ARTBOOKING CRICUT COLLECTION!!!!
-------------------------------
The picture below shows the "girl" at an angle so you can see how painting it with Pearl Paint changed the color of the "Frosted Grey" to a girlier color...

I cut the image out of Frosted Grey and Colonial White then carefully cut out "girl" and layered on top.
