PAM turns 40!!!!

I thought about NOT putting her age, but the inside of my card says it anyway so what the heck....

This is a card I made for my upline and very dear friend, Pamela O'Connor!!!  She is one of the friendships I can attribute to CTMH and I will be forever grateful!

I hand-drew the cake stand and the cake....the card measures about 5.5"x9" which was NOT my plan but you know how that goes!

I used two paper packets....Stardust and Whoops-A-Daisy - Retired.  I used Rustic Numbers (LOVE these 'cause they are so easy to cut out), Black Gingham Ribbon (non-CTMH), White Daisy Cardstock, Black Cardstock with Black Core (I'm not even sure if you can still get this from CTMH), Corner Rounder, Sponge, Black Ink and white gel pen (non-CTMH).  Oh, I almost forgot....Candlelight stamp set (NEW this Spring) and CTMH's Cutting Knife to get the center of the numbers cut out.

Don't forget to head on over to Pam's blog and wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

2009 Christmas Card

I had to wait 'till everyone received their Christmas cards before I posted pictures.  I usually make several different cards....some for my workshops, one or two for family & friends and some for the workshop attendees (don't want to send them the same ones they already made :0)

Dr. Suess Baby Shower.....

Here are some pictures of the Diaper Cake and Corsage I made for my dear friend's (and great customer) baby shower.  They're not finding out what the sex of the baby is so her nursery theme is Dr. Suess...how FUN is that!?!?!
------------------------------------------------
Corsage is made up of a diaper, little socks, wash cloth, pacifier, artificial flower and ribbon....

------------------------------------------------
The ribbon holds the socks and wash cloth in place...the flower is hot glued and the pacifier is pinned inside the fold-down of the sock.

----------------------------------------------
Here's the back....I just pinned it on her chest with a safety pin through the diaper....

-----------------------------------------------------
Here's a look at the diaper cake with stuff poked in and around as well as just sitting on top of some of the tiers.  The stuff sticking out of the top is some sort of Christmas decorations I got on sale at Wal-Mart and I thought would go perfectly with the Dr. Suess theme!

-------------------------------------------------------------
This is a little game we played on guessing the sex of the baby....each attendee signed the guest book and then wrote a short note on the fish that corresponded with the "sex" guess (pink for girl, blue for boy).  At the end of the baby shower, we had her count all the pinks and blues and guess what????  They TIED!!!!  I guess we'll have to wait to find out!  The saying in the frame reads..."old fish, new fish, one fish...NOT two fish (thank GOODFISH!!!)...will it be a pink fish or a blue fish"....isn't that the CUTEST thang (her SIL brought that game)!!!

Wordless Wednesday....bitten by the bunk bed

(no stitches were required but we still had to wait in the ER for 3 hours
and pay too much money for SUPER GLUE...I could've put that on at home!!!)

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish....

My dear friend is having a baby and she asked me to do her baby shower invitations....I was so thrilled when she told me that her nursery was going to be Dr. Seuss!!!  I immediately thought of Animal Cookies.  I got the idea for the wording online by searching for Dr. Seuss Invitations.  The shower is in a couple of weeks and I can't wait to see what FUN decorations we come up with.

----------------------------------------------
These are the ones we ended up using because the ribbon was too bulky to mail....she'll keep the ribbon one for the scrapbook :0)
